Alejandra Gomez Rios: Grande Prairie Centre for Newcomers

Since September 2017, Alejandra has been a co-facilitator for our Friday Evening Group for the Conversational English Club (this is in collaboration with the GP Public Library). Each week clients meet for 1 hour and 30 minutes to practice speaking English in a group setting through facilitated conversations. We are so grateful to have Alejandra as a volunteer. She is a cheerful, patient and friendly. She is passionate about her volunteer work with us and is genuinely interested in teaching and learning herself about different cultures. Besides that Alejandra was the one who presented Mexican display booth (with delicious tacos and salsa sauce to taste) during Kermes Day at the GP Museum. Thank you so much for all that you do!
