Grande Prairie & Area Safe Communities is an umbrella organization that links community stakeholders and partners together with the goal of injury prevention and reduction. Its infrastructure is based on partnerships and collaborations governed by a cross-sectional group that works together as a team to identify and prioritize safety issues. This combined effort has an impact on making the Peace Country a safter, healthier region.

On Wednesday, March 24th from 9am to 2pm, Grande Prairie & Area Safe Communities is holding a Priority Setting Exercise which will identifiy through community consensus the top injury priorities for Grande Prairie. The purpose of the Priority Setting Exercise is to review data regarding injuries in our community, complete assessments in a group format and arrive at a consensus for community action for injury prevention activities. We need your participation to make this day a success. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP by February 17 to Carla at 780-402-2818 or email admin@gpsafecommunities.com. For further information, please contact Donna Kulba, Chair, Grande Prairie & Area Safe Communities at 780-538-5049 or email donna.kulba@wcb.ab.ca.
